This project begins with the convenience of a passage generator and then gives readers clear ways to go further: full-chapter links, a daily passage, topic collections, and original reading guides.
Context first
Every generated passage links to its full chapter, and editorial pages repeatedly encourage readers to widen the reading unit before applying a verse.
Transparent selection
The random generator uses browser-based randomness. The daily passage uses a date-based selection. Neither feature claims to provide prophecy, private revelation, or a guaranteed answer to a personal question.

How passages are selected
The generator selects from a curated library of Old and New Testament readings. The library intentionally uses passages rather than only isolated sentences. Each entry includes its book, chapter, reference, text, testament, approximate reading length, and a link to the complete chapter.
The passage library is not presented as a complete digital Bible. Its purpose is to support the discovery tools on this site while sending readers to the surrounding chapter for fuller context.
Translation
The site uses the World English Bible, Protestant Edition (WEBP), with U.S. spelling. It is public domain, which allows the project to display Scripture directly without placing the core reading experience behind a proprietary text license. Read the translation information.

Our editorial material aims to be broadly useful to Christian readers across traditions. Where Christians interpret a passage differently, the site avoids pretending that a disputed interpretation is the only possible reading.
